Fun Ho! Superised
by Scott...aka. " Mister Superise"

SUPERISED #211 NUMBER 6 RACER

This little beauty is a very popular model that just shouts out to be raced across the kitchen lino. My example came with many hours of hard racing under it's very worn wheels.

The model was stripped of it's remaining paint, filed and sanded to an overall smooth finish. The drivers head had a portion of filler added to build up that lost from many a roll over during the heat of racing. The front radiator was then carefully filed out to shape. A fine piece of mesh was cut to shape and glued into place. Next an exhaust pipe and silencer were fashioned out of copper tube and test fitted for size.

Next the model was given a good coat of under coat paint and left to dry for a couple of days. A light sanding was all that was needed before the top coat of red paint was applied. Your choice of colour here means that any racing team colours can modelled. White drivers overalls, Silver and black exhaust details completed the painting of this model.

Four new 3/4 white plastic wheels and two new axles replaced the old well worn units. A set of number 19 racing numbers was all that was required to finish this easy low cost project. Any numbers can be fitted in a variety of styles.

A number of these models could easily be Superised in different colours and racing numbers used to make a stunning display, or just to enhance your collection.
