Fun Ho! Superised
by Scott...aka. " Mister Superise"

SUPERISED #300 SMALL TRACTOR

This example of the #300 Small Tractor had been sitting in my drawer for a large number of years. It was in very play worn condition with no wheels or axles and the poor drivers head had been knocked off. The casting was devoid of most of it's paint and was badly corroded. Once again, I couldn't bring myself to throw it away, so Superising was began.

The casting was cleaned up with all signs of corrosion removed and a fair amount of body filler added to fill holes etc. Next a pair of mudguards were fashioned from flat sheet to suit and fitted. The rear towing hole was repaired and a suitable head returned to the driver.

As the front of the tractor had been eaten away by the corrosion, a new radiator and mesh grille with starting handle were made and fitted. Now the model was starting to take shape. An exhaust pipe, silencer and air cleaner constructed from wire and body filler are the only other new additions needed to complete the make over. These were attached once the final coat of paint had been applied and allowed to dry. New wheels and axles were fitted and the transformation was achieved.

Total cost for this was very minor as it was mostly time spent performing the tasks as needed.
